Responsible horse betting in an app for everyone
For Norsk Rikstoto, we built a mobile app with BankID and Vipps sign-in, responsible gaming at its core and universal design.

The challenge
Rikstoto wanted to reach more people than those who already follow horse racing. Signing up and placing a bet had to be simple, whatever the user’s experience. At the same time, the app had to meet Rikstoto’s public mandate for responsible gaming.
Responsible gaming
Users over 18 register with BankID. Everyone must set their own spending limits, and the app explains the risks of gambling and where to find help.
Universal design
The app supports zoom, screen readers and keyboard navigation, and has been tested thoroughly so it works for everyone.
Easy to get started
Registration and sign-in use BankID and Vipps. The games are presented clearly, so users quickly find, understand and place a bet on trotting and galloping races from around the world.
